What To Expect2019-01-19T02:28:17+00:00

A Church that Loves

1. Worship – We worship in a contemporary music style often with keyboard, guitar, percussion and more. We believe that God is worthy of our extravagant worship.  That means in songs, in preaching His word, in giving, and in serving those around us. We are compelled to worshipping God when we see how much He loves us and all that He has done for us. When God is honored it is like an invitation to meet with us.  (Psalm 100, Psalm 22:3, Psalm 25:1, Psalm 150:6, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Acts 16:25, Habakkuk 3:17-18)

2. Word – The word of God is trustworthy. It was written over many years, by many different authors, but God, by His Spirit, inspired and spoke to all of them about what to write.  This is a letter written to us by God.  The word is living and powerful.  God gave it to us and preserved it over many years.  It teaches us, reveals God’s character to us, gives us direction, correction, purpose, wisdom, comfort and peace.  We preach what the Bible says and not our opinions.  The word of God does not have to be changed for today.  It is relevant for you and me right where we are.
We speak the word of God with boldness because we know that God desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.  We believe that Bible when it says, “I am not ashamed of the Gospel, (Good news of Jesus) for it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes”.  (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12, 1 Timothy 2:3-4, Romans 1:16)

3. Warfare – The Bible makes it very clear that we are in a battle for our souls. We are encouraged to fight the good fight by what God has spoken to us.  We are encouraged to war not according to the world we live in, but we should destroy speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God and take every thought captive to the obedience of who Christ is and what He says.
The bible warns us about having a form of religion and denying God’s power.  We expect to release God’s power into the lives of those that need it.  We want to see the works of the devil destroyed and people set free.  That will only happen when by the power of God as we stand together.  Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but the spiritual forces of darkness God, through Jesus, has given us power over them.  We do that by prayer and declaring God’s truth over your life as you resist the enemy.  You don’t have to fight alone.  Jesus said it, this way, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly”.  (Ephesians 6:10-20, Timothy 1:18, 1 John 3:8, 1 John 4:4, James 4:7, Isaiah 54:17, Romans 8:37, 1 Corinthians 15:57, John 10:10)
