Communion – Communion is about relationship with each other and with God. The word fellowship is used often in the Bible and it speaks to the things we have in common or share.  That is our faith and trust in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.  When we gather together, we are celebrating all that God has done for us through Jesus. This brings us strength and encouragement. In relationship with each other we are also encouraged to equip and prepare for serving those around us, in our community. (Acts 2:42, 1 John 1:1-4, Hebrews 3:13, Hebrews 10:23-25, 2 Timothy 2:2, Ephesians 4:11-16, Proverbs 27:17, Romans 12:9-13)
Community – Community is about the area and the people that God has called us to serve. The Skagit Valley is diverse in country of origin, skin color, age, economic status, and cultural heritage. We celebrate that and believe that God sent His Son for all of us and He wants to have a relationship with everyone.  That is a picture of heaven as we all come together and worship God. We will have a multi-cultural, multi-generational, and diverse church. (John 3:16, 1 Corinthians 1:10, John 15:12-13, 1 Peter 4:8-11, Philippians 2:3-4, Luke 15:20-24, Romans 12:9-13)
Commission – God created us to have relationship with Him. When people choose to do things their own way and not the way God wants, it is sin, and that sin separates us from God.  But God loves us and He pursues us. His mission is bringing people back into a right relationship with Him. It is why He sent Jesus and that mission continues today. God has invited us to join in that mission and so we have a co-mission with Him. We have the great privilege of being an extension of God to those around us. (2 Corinthians 5:18-20, Jeremiah 31:3, Hebrews 13:16, Romans 12:9-13)
Commitment – We choose to be committed to God and to each other. We know that we all walk through hard times and that division is one way that satan will try to keep us from what God wants for our life. Perseverance is a common theme throughout the Bible and God promises reward for those that do.  God empowers us by His grace to be able to finish what He has put before us. (Hebrews 13:14, 1 Timothy 4:16, Galatians 6:9, James 1:12, Romans 12:9-13)
