Welcome
Sonrise Skagit is a Spirit-Filled Church Family Bringing the Kingdom of Heaven to Earth!
We are a place where people can meet Jesus, engage in life-giving community, and everyone is welcome. We believe in creating a culture where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and equip them to be used for God's glory.

WHAT TO EXPECT

WORSHIP
We WORSHIP the King of Kings. We worship in a spirit-led contemporary music style often with keyboard, guitar, percussion and more. We believe that God is worthy of our extravagant worship. That means in songs, in preaching His word, in giving, and in serving those around us. We are compelled to worshipping God when we see how much He loves us and all that He has done for us. When God is honored it is like an invitation to meet with us. (Psalm 100, Psalm 22:3, Psalm 25:1, Psalm 150:6, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Acts 16:25, Habakkuk 3:17-18)

WORD
We preach the WORD. We teach the whole Bible in its entirety. The word of God is trustworthy. It was written over many years, by many different authors, but God, by His Spirit, inspired and spoke to all of them about what to write. This is a letter written to us by God. The word is living and powerful. God gave it to us and preserved it over many years. It teaches us, reveals God’s character to us, gives us direction, correction, purpose, wisdom, comfort and peace. We preach what the Bible says and not our opinions. The word of God does not have to be changed for today. It is relevant for you and me right where we are. We speak the word of God with boldness because we know that God desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. We believe the Bible when it says, “I am not ashamed of the Gospel, (Good news of Jesus) for it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes”. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12, 1 Timothy 2:3-4, Romans 1:16)

WARFARE
We join with you in WARFARE. We provide opportunities for prayer at every service. The Bible makes it very clear that we are in a battle for our souls. We are encouraged to fight the good fight by what God has spoken to us. We are encouraged to war not according to the world we live in, but we should destroy speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God and take every thought captive to the obedience of who Christ is and what He says. The Bible warns us about having a form of religion and denying God’s power. We expect to release God’s power into the lives of those that need it. We want to see the works of the devil destroyed and people set free. That will only happen by the power of God, as we stand together. Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but the spiritual forces of darkness. God, through Jesus, has given us power over them. We do that by prayer and declaring God’s truth over your life as you resist the enemy. You don’t have to fight alone. Jesus said it, this way, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly”. (Ephesians 6:10-20, Timothy 1:18, 1 John 3:8, 1 John 4:4, James 4:7, Isaiah 54:17, Romans 8:37, 1 Corinthians 15:57, John 10:10)
a church that loves and equips
At Sonrise Skagit, we are dedicated to loving and serving the wonderful people of Skagit Valley. Our welcoming church creates a relaxed and casual atmosphere, bringing together individuals and families to build a community where everyone—from toddlers to seniors—feels a genuine sense of belonging and connection.
But our mission goes beyond simply sharing the teachings of Jesus and the Word. We are here to empower and equip you to actively engage with the world outside our walls. Join us as we embark on a journey of faith, community, and service together!

Service Type
A typical service lasts about 90 minutes and includes worship, announcements, a message, and opportunities for prayer. We invite you to stay after the service for a time of fellowship, where you can connect with others and build new relationships. In our café, you will find self-serve refreshments and coffee available.
360Kids
The 360Kids Ministry serves children from birth to 5th grade on Sunday mornings. Upon arrival, each child should be checked in at the 360Kids Check-In station using our check-in terminals. After checking in your child, please escort them to their classroom. Remember to keep your pick-up tag, as you will need it to collect your child at the end of the service. We recommend arriving about 10 minutes before the service starts to allow sufficient time for check-in. Our staff and 360Kids volunteers undergo thorough screening via a secure background check service.
FSN Youth
FSN Youth serves students in grades 7 through 12. On Sundays, our youth are invited to attend the service. They can choose to sit with you or gather as a group with other youth, but we ask that you supervise them if necessary.
Our goal is to help our youth encounter Jesus both in youth settings and within the larger congregation. Mid-week youth group meets every Wednesday at 7 PM. There is also a pre-youth hangout starting at 6 PM, which is a great opportunity for students to connect with one another and participate in various activities. For more information, please visit our FSN Youth page.
