mission statement
Sonrise Christian Academy offers an affordable, Biblically-focused education to like-minded families, preparing our children for God's plan for their lives.
approach
Our hybrid program offers a distinctive approach to education by merging the beneficial aspects of homeschooling with those of private schooling. We have developed a schedule that allows students to spend two days on campus with instructors where they cover core academic subjects, and two days at home with their parents, where they can complete the assigned work. We provide our students with a flex day every in-class week, which enables them to pursue their interests and passions. Moreover, we understand the flexibility and advantages of homeschooling, and therefore, we have included five home weeks in our school year. During these weeks, parents will facilitate the curriculum at home under the guidance and direction of the instructor. We are currently K-8th and intend to expand to Highschool 9th & 10th grade for the 25-26 school year.
For the 25-26 school year we will be providing a a unique Four-Day-a-Week educational program that allows students to attend school in-person for four days per week. This option, which comes with an additional fee, is available for a limited number of students. For participants in this program, our qualified SCA staff will supervise students on their home learning days at the school during in-class weeks, providing a structured and supportive environment. Students will also complete their scheduled home learning during designated weeks at home. Please note that this program requires a minimum number of enrollments to launch and ensure its success.

Partnership
Our hybrid approach requires families to participate in their children’s education as instructors provide assigned work for home days and ideas for how to approach their child's learning style. We hope that many families who may find homeschooling overwhelming will find support and gain confidence under the guidance of our instructors within a community of like-minded families. We also require your family to take on specific service roles as part of creating a successful educational program. Each family will need to participate in these roles three times a year, with each service period lasting four weeks. These may be fulfilled by any family member including grand-parents.
For the 25-26 school year Families who prefer not to engage in family service roles have the option to choose a higher membership, which reflects this choice.

GOD: Our program is founded on Christian principles, and we firmly believe in honoring God in everything we do. Our instructors are committed to a Christian worldview and strive to inspire our students to develop a deep sense of purpose and calling. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and we encourage our students to know the God who created them.
We integrate the Biblical worldview into all academic subjects- Math, Science, English, and History- to ground our students spiritually and help them reason within this framework.

- Sonrise Christian Academy is not an accredited private school. SCA operates differently from traditional schools and coops. Instead of having a staff of instructors, parents can enroll their children and pay a membership fee that covers the instructional services available through the academy. These services are delivered by a diverse team of instructors that includes professionals, pastors, and parents who are carefully selected based on the academy's high standards to ensure the best quality of education for the students.
- The membership to SCA is determined by the course content, materials, and cost of each class. Our all-inclusive membership covers everything your child needs for the school year, including comprehensive biblical world view textbooks.
- We can arrange for a balance beyond the initial deposit to be paid in three options: pay in full, a monthly payment schedule, or a three-payment schedule due on October 1st, February 1st, and April 1st. Regardless of the payment schedule you choose, the first payment beyond the initial deposit will be due on October 1st.
- After submitting an application and receiving acceptance to SCA, you will be required to pay a non-refundable deposit of $550 per student. This deposit will be applied towards your student's membership. You have the option to make one full payment or two installments. Please note that the final installment must be paid by June 15th.
- There will be a 5% discount per student for families with 3 or more students attending*
- Teacher discount: Qualified Parent teachers will receive 25% off of 1 student per class taught.
