A LETTER FROM THE LEAD PASTOR

Hello and greetings from the Stansberry family!
We are so excited to be used by God to lead this church in reaching the people of the Skagit Valley.  When God invited us to plant a church here, we didn’t know anyone in the area.  On faith we set out to find a house and move here as soon as possible so that we could start meeting the people God had called us to.  We have been overwhelmed by how welcoming people have been to our family.  As a family with 5 kids we have been involved in the community in many ways and we look forward to more.  We have felt at home since we first arrived in the summer of 2017.  Even now as I write this God is reminding me how we asked him about 3 years ago for a place to put down roots for our family.  This has been an answer to our prayers.
We want to connect to the community around us.  It is our privilege to lead and be an example in reaching out to those around us.  We are not content to sit back and wait for people to come to our church, we want to go to them.  Knocking on doors and offering prayer, enjoying a local sporting event, watching the fireworks to celebrate the birth of this great country, and anywhere else the people are.  We want to be an example of supporting schools, hospitals, first responders, and local businesses.
We also recognize there are many different cultures represented in our community.  We purpose to embrace all of them and invite them into worshipping with us.  We are all made in the image of God.
The longer we are here the more this becomes home and much of that is because of the people God has brought into our lives.
We are asking God for opportunities each day to be an extension of Him to those around us.  That means we want to speak love, life, truth, blessing, healing, encouragement, and hope into your life.  If you see us around say hi and give us that opportunity.
Thank you and if we haven’t met yet, we look forward to meeting you soon.
